Powdery turns in the mountains today in Vermont!

It was touch and go for a while with the shapeshifting snow forecast, but the MLK Day snowstorm delivered!

The higher mountains along the spine of Vermont's Green Mountains made out well with more than a foot falling over two days. Yes! We needed that base-building snowfall!

I took a mellow backcountry ski tour this morning on trails I know well at Bolton Valley, Vt. (You need to be careful out in the woods because it's still not a deep base.)

My report: Soft, powdery turns were had. And my teeth got cold because I was smiling so much.

Enjoy the new snow! And let's keep thinking snowy thoughts!
