It's that time of year: Vermont ski resorts are planning their opening days and making snow to make those opening dates a reality,

Here's a review of opening dates for skiing at Vermont ski resorts. This information was gathered from the resort Web sites. Do check with the resorts directly to confirm lift operation before you drive there! Smugglers' Notch – Opened November 27
Stowe Mountain – Opened November 24

These dates, of course, depend on cold temperatures so that the ski areas can make snow of their trails and maintain the snow that they make.
