The US Ski Team has named its cross-country team for the coming season. With only seven athletes, the team roster is lean, but mean.
Two Vermonters are among the nation's elite team: Andy Newell of Shaftsbury, Vermont — an alumnus of the Stratton Mountain School — and Liz Stephen of East Montpelier, Vt. — an alumna of the Burke Mountain Academy. (Both are pictured here.)
Also with Vermont ties is Simi Hamilton, an Aspen, Colorado, native who was an NCAA All American at Middlebury College.
