Lift serviced mountain biking in Vermont

Adrenaline rushes. Quick reflexes. Wind in your face. There’s a lot of crossover between skiing and mountain biking. Perhaps that’s why so many of us enjoy both sports!Lift service mountain biking in Vermont

Well if you want to kick your biking excitement up a notch, you might consider lift-served mountain biking at Vermont ski resorts. Starting this weekend, there’s a new offering on the list of resorts that let you take a bike up their mountain and zoom down.

Opening on June 18, 2011, is the Burke Mountain / Kingdom Trails bike park and lift service. The Sherburne Express Chairlift will be open for lift-served biking every weekend through mid-October.

Here’s a list of where you can do lift-served mountain biking in Vermont:

  • Burke Mountain / Kingdom Trails in East Burke, Vermont
  • Killington in Killington, Vt.
  • Mount Snow in West Dover, Vt.
  • Sugarbush in Warren, Vt.

Visit our <link internal-link>Vermont Ski Resorts page for links to the ski resorts and Google maps that show their location.

Unsolicited advice: You should really be quite proficient at mountain biking on steeper hills and loose rocks and stumps before you try lift-accessed mountain biking. You are going to have a lot of vertical to deal with, quite a bit of speed, and it can be steep and challenging. Beginner riders need not apply!
