Catamount Outdoor Center, Vermont cross-country skiing

We woke up to another morning of steady snowfall. Yes! Snow continued in many places in Vermont during the day.

We took advantage of the re-opening of the nearby Catamount Outdoor Center cross-country network in Williston, Vermont. It's been a tough month for this low-elevation Nordic center, so when we saw the new snow we decided to hit the trails there.

At midday they had about five inches of fresh snow on the trails. The tree branches held fluffy snow and sometimes let it drop on us when a small gust of wind came through.

We skied Night Trail to Three Rivers to Sandmans to Woodstrace. A good loop through the woods, indeed.

It was wonderful to be out playing in the light, new snow! Did you get out on the snow? If so, where and how was it?

Sunday temperatures are sounding very chilly. For this reason, this morning I checked ski area snow reports to see where there might be some new snow to play in today. Some lake-effect snow had been…
